Ashley River Hall is the newest indoor/outdoor event venue in Charleston, SC, offering everything that makes the city a favorite destination for weddings and special events. Set on four acres of Grand Oaks, Spanish Moss, and riverfront views, our venue is just 10 minutes from the Charleston Historic District, the airport, and dozens of hotels. Inside, we offer over 8,000 square feet of climate-controlled space, with curtain and draping systems that comfortably accommodate 75 to 300 seated guests. Outside, an additional 7,500 square feet of open and airy space provides endless possibilities.
Ashley River Hall also features a climate-controlled Indoor Chapel that seats 200 guests for ceremonies, while our outdoor ceremony area seats 300. Guests can enjoy both indoor and covered outdoor cocktail lounges, and our reception/dining area seats up to 300 guests. We provide a spacious private dressing room for the bride and bridesmaids — complete with a private bathroom — plus a dedicated “Man Cave” for the groomsmen, featuring a big-screen TV and games. No other Charleston venue offers the same variety and flexibility of spaces as Ashley River Hall!
Our climate-controlled Indoor Chapel features a large white brick fireplace as a backdrop for your ceremony, a 20-foot vaulted solid cedar ceiling, and solid cedar trusses. A wall of windows frames stunning marsh views.
Our outdoor ceremony area accommodates up to 300 guests, offering spectacular views of the marsh and river. The rental includes 300 white, padded folding chairs for use in either of the ceremony spaces. Whether your wedding is in winter, spring, summer, or fall, Ashley River Hall ensures you and your guests are comfortable and well cared for.
Ashley River Hall offers two distinct spaces for a cocktail hour.
Indoor lounge: Soaring 30-foot cedar ceilings, solid wood trusses, an atrium-style glass wall with water and marsh views, and a fully equipped 15-foot bar. This area comfortably hosts 15 high-top cocktail tables.
Outdoor area: A custom covered gazebo with post-and-beam construction and a metal roof, featuring a full-service bar and an adjacent patio for cocktail and sit-down tables. Another post-and-beam “Sofa Lounge” gazebo provides the perfect spot for a cigar and bourbon tasting or relaxing on outdoor sofas. Two fire pits, accompanied by Adirondack chairs, line the marsh front, adding warmth and ambiance.
All outdoor spaces are strung with elegant café lighting. Rental includes 20 high-top cocktail tables and ten 48” round tables.
The reception/dining area features 12-foot tongue-and-groove “ship lap” ceilings, complemented by custom chandeliers and wall sconces. Sixteen floor-to-ceiling windows along the marsh-front wall bring breathtaking views into the dining space.
Detailed wainscoting, trim, and crown molding in a neutral palette provide the perfect backdrop for décor and floral arrangements. Rental includes thirty 60” round banquet tables and 300 Gold Chiavari chairs.
Movable curtains and draping walls allow the space to feel intimate for smaller groups, while still accommodating up to 300 guests for larger celebrations.
